Goumi (Elaeagnus multiflora)

Variety originating from Ukraine, but named and promoted in the USA.
It blooms at the earliest from all varieties and also its fruits ripen first - in the first half of June. They are sweet and sour, they stay on the branches for about 4 weeks, then they fall.
Sweet Scarlet requires a second variety for pollination.

Seedling found in Austria.
The fruits ripen at the beginning of July and are sweet, slightly astringent. They do not fall and stay on the branches for almost 2 months. With time, they dry up, become wrinkled like raisins and even tastier.
Self-pollinating variety.
