prunus serotina ZolwinVariety selected and introduced by our nursery. Very late – fruits ripen in September and hang on the tree into October. They are very sweet and don’t drop down. As time goes by their skin starts to wrinkle and they become still tastier, similar in flavour to raisins.

The Black Cherry is a widely adaptable plant and can grow on almost every soil. The fruits will be sweeter in full sunlight.

prunus virginiana Lee

Strong growing variety with yellow fruits. They ripen in the second half of July. Their taste are sweet and tart and therefore more suitable for processing - to juice and jam.

The plants are grafted on the common bird cherry and therefore need good, fresh or even moist soil to thrive. Lee is cross-pollinating - the fruit set is much lower in individual plants.
